| Finland's prime minister faces heavy criticism after video leak |
The Prime Minister of Finland is facing severe criticism after a video was leaked.
In this video, he can be seen dancing and singing along with some famous Finnish personalities.
He is also facing criticism from the opposition parties and one leader has demanded that he be drug tested.
Sana Marin, 36, has denied that she was under the influence of drugs and says she only drank and was partying.
Who are the Sana Marines?
When Sana Marin was elected as the Prime Minister of the country, she was the youngest person in the world to hold this position. She never keeps her private parties a secret and is often spotted at music events.
Last year, she apologized for going to the club when she came in contact with a person there who had Corona.
Last week, the German newspaper 'Bild' gave him the title of 'coolest prime minister in the world'. Talking about the video on Thursday, he said that he knew the video was being made but he regretted it. It was leaked to the public.
He said, 'I danced, sang and partied, these are all legal things. I have never been in a situation where I have seen others using drugs. Leader of the opposition party Rikka Pura says there is a 'shadow of doubt' over the prime minister and that he himself has been drug tested. Should be done.
Politicians from other opposition parties have criticized both the prime minister and the media for talking about the party, saying there are more pressing local issues.
The Prime Minister told reporters that I have a family life, a work life and I spend my free time with friends. Just like many people my age do.
He added that he did not think he needed to change his attitude. "I will continue to be who I am today and hope it will be accepted."
In Finland, the video has been widely viewed as a matter of public interest.
Sana Marin has been in government since December 2019 and has the support of his party.
Local media commentator Robert Sandman told the BBC that "no matter what the Marines do, there's always the same divisive attitude."
"There are some people who are saying that it is normal for a woman of her age to have fun with friends and on the other hand there are people who are shocked."
"But one thing is certain so far that party pictures have not made any significant difference to his or his party's popularity," he says.
According to him, people have a special view on the friendship of the current prime minister with famous personalities, while this was not the case with the past prime ministers.
